As you can probably tell, the program needs to be tweeked to better match current trends. The primary problem is with the concept of the base price which I assumed would be constant. It turns out I was wrong.

I revised the program on September 16, 1996 to better match current prices, and to add a factor for the reduction of the base price over time.
